The National Broadcasting Commission has granted the National Youth Service Corps a DSB and IPTV broadcast license for Satellite Television broadcasting and Internet Television.
The DG of the NYSC, Maj. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, was welcomed to the Commission by the DG of the NBC, Mall Balarabe Shehu Ilelah, who highlighted that the NBC is the agency charged with regulating and monitoring the broadcast business in Nigeria.
He also expressed his delight that the NBC is now carrying out one of its tasks, which is to provide broadcast licenses to competent organizations, and that the NYSC has demonstrated that they are qualified.
Mall Ilelah also complimented Maj. Gen. S. Ibrahim on his promotion to full General in the Nigerian Army, as well as the NYSC’s efforts to unite the country through its service program.
