Domestic flights resume in Nigeria after 14 weeks of closure

Lagos Airport came alive again after fourteen weeks of gradual closure as a measure to check the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria.

Domestic flight resumed today with five of the eight operators approval to return to the sky.

They are Arik Air, Air Peace, Ibom Air, Overland and Dana Airlines.

Air fares on economy range from N29,500 to N33,000 for one way ticket from Lagos to Abuja.
Passenger turn out for the 7am flight was surprisingly impressive

No two aircraft left Lagos at the same time in compliance with the federal government’s order of staggering flights from the airports. The travellers were orderly, and processes and facilitation seamless.
