Stoke City and Getafe have reached a loan agreement for Nigerian international Oghenekaro Etebo, who will be joining the La Liga club Getafe, during the January transfer window.
The future of the former Warri Wolves star has been the subject of speculation in the British press due to a lack of first team opportunities at the Potters, despite his return to full fitness after suffering an injury.
Etebo was the hero of Nigeria’s bronze medal win at the Rio 2016 Olympic games and was also part of the Super Eagles third place finish at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
He has not featured for stoke city since October 2019 after he was injured in the game against Sheffield Wednesday.
Etebo will be returning to the la liga after spending time during the 2017-2018 season on loan with Las Palmas.
