The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Chevron Nigeria Limited have signed agreements over the multi-billion dollars Escravos Gas-to-Liquid project.
This was disclosed at a sign-off meeting by the Group Managing Director,NNPC, Mele Kyari in Abuja.
Kyari said the oil company would boost the domestic gas market with 400 million standard cubic feet per day of gas supply that’s equivalent to 26 per cent of total domestic gas supply in the country.
He adds that the EGTL plant is a source of energy and has the potential to yield $2 billion yearly into the federation account.
