Unknown gunmen have killed the Chairman, Medical Advisory Council of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife, Professor Jerome Elusiyan.
He was killed in Ekpoma on Friday while on his way to Benin.
TVC News reliably gathered that professor Jerome Elusiyan left Ife on Thursday, for Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in Edo state, to supervise some students in an Examinations.
On his way coming back to Benin on Friday, where where was hoping to pass a night before coming to Ife On Saturday, he was attacked and killed by some unknown Gunmen. According to findings, his driver survived with bullet wounds.
TVC News visited the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Ile-Ife anf found out that a condolences register has been opened at the Administrative building.
At his residence located at Oranfe area in Ile-Ife, sympathizers were seen in their numbers. They want Government to find lasting solution to the security Challenges facing the country.
Professor Jerome Elusiyan, an indigene of Oke-Igbo in Ondo state was a professor of Paediatrics and the Chairman, Medical Advisory council of the OAUTHC.
He was 51 year old. He delivered his inaugural Lecture on the 24th of September 2019 at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife.
TVC News gathered that his first son recently got admission into a University.
