Liverpool players Salah, Mane, Van Dijik top list for FIFA Best Men’s Player award

The world football body FIFA has named ten players for the Best Men’s Player award.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk join regulars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the list.

Early favorites include Defender Van Dijk is the EPL Player of the Season, Cristiano Ronaldo who won Italy’s Serie A title in his debut season with Juventus and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi who was the leading scorer in Barca’s La Liga triumph last season.

Other nominees include Netherland duo of Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt , Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Sadio Mane,Kylian Mbappe, Mohamed Salah

The Women’s category is majorly dominated by players from the successful USA world cup winning team, including player of the tournament Megan Rapinoe, fellow striker Alex Morgan Julie Ertz and Rose Lavelle

The others include England’s Lucy Bronze and Ellen White. Norway has Caroline Graham Hansen and Ada Hegerberg while World CUp hosts France has Wendie Renard and Amandine Henry, Australia’s Sam Kerr and Netherlands Vivianne Miedema
