The Prudent Energy handball premier league kicks off today at the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Abuja.
The women will set the pace for the day as Imo Grasshoppers of Owerri will face Owena Queens of Akure while Edo Dynamos of Benin will slug it out with defending champions Plateau Peacocks of Jos.
Safety Babes of FRSC will then take on Desert Queens of Katsina.

In the men category, it’s a battle of the North as Kada Stars of Kaduna will take on Bornu Spiders of Maiduguri.
The first phase of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League will run through till the 25th of May 2019.
