The Ondo Police Command has launched ”Operation Puff Adder”, aimed at curbing kidnapping and other crimes following the arrest of twenty suspected criminals in the state.
Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that with the rise in cases of crimes like armed banditry, kidnapping and robbery, all across the country, there cannot be a better time for this new operation than now.
Though, many operations like this have been launched in the past, the State Police Commissioner, Undie Adie believes that the renewed effort through the Operation Puff Adder. will stem the rising wave of criminal activities in the state.
He expressed optimism that the command will rise up to the challenge.
For dignitaries present here, making the operation work is the desire of people of the state.It was also a harvest of criminals for the command, as twenty suspects were paraded before journalists.
They were arrested for offences ranging from kidnapping to armed robbery. Operation Puff Adder is the brain child of the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
