The process for the selection of a new Olowo has begun to replace the deceased Olowo, Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi.
At a news conference in Owo, the Ojomoluda of Ijebu Owo, Oba. Kofoaorola Olatubosun Oladoyinbo said the new Olowo will come from Elewuokun family.
He said the contest is opened to all qualified and interested princes and advised them to pick up the prescribed from from the secretariat of Agba omo olowo.

The form, according to Oba Oladoyinbo will be sold at the rate of N25,000.
Oba Oladoyinbo who is the senior of Omo olowo, appealed to all the people of Owo to join in the conduct of a peaceful and rewarding selection exercise
