Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, has been elected chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum.Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal was also elected the deputy chairman of the forum. Fayemi is succeeding Governor Abdualaziz Yari of Zamfara state, who ends his second term in office on May 29. The Governors are concerned with the recent guidelines of the NFIU on local government allocations as they fear it may cripple the affairs of Universal Basic Education, Primary Health care and payment of workers salaries. They however, resolved to meet with President Buhari to find real and effective solutions to the security challenges facing the country.
