Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has charged young innovators in the country to put integrity and honesty first if they are to succeed in any project they embark on. He disclosed this at an interactive session with young Innovative Nigerians at the Civic Innovation Lab Abuja.
State House Correspondent Mariah Olasehinde reports that the session was made up of innovators and Entrepreneurs who desire to be mentored by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. The event is a Mentorship Series tagged “One on One with the Vice President”.
Osinbajo takes on this challenge with a lot of enthusiasm as he settles down in this unusual setting ready to impart knowledge to these young Entrepreneurs.
They ask him questions that range from how his background affected his life, to the Important lessons he has learnt since becoming Vice President and challenges that come with the office.
Osinbajo is quick to respond to these questions stressing that Integrity and honesty pays in whatever one does.
He points out that if things had been done properly in the past, Nigeria would not be where it is today
The Vice President is not unaware of the significance technology innovations play in today’s world and discloses that this administration is creating more innovation hubs starting with University of Lagos and the private sector
He encourages the young innovators to be actively involved in politics at an early age and to stick build up Strong values as well as Focus on capacity development.
