A middle-aged farmer has been killed by suspected herdsmen in Ethiope West local government area of Delta state, making it the eleventh death recorded in herdsmen attacks on Abraka communities.The victim, identified as Akpomienmien left his house recently for his farm, accompanied by his wife and sixteen year old son only to come face to face with death. His wife survived gun shot wounds from the attack.
Abraka community in Ethiope West local government area of Delta state is home to Delta state university. The people known for their strength in agriculture, especially cassava production have once again experienced the death of a kinsman in his farm at the hands of suspected herdsmen.
With the recent attacks, the residents now live in fear as nobody knows who will be the next victim of continuous attack by herdsmen who have forcefully created a colony for themselves in the vast forest of Abraka.
At the family house of the deceased, a gloomy atmosphere reigned as relations and kinsmen were seen mourning the death of a man described as a pillar of the family.
