The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has arrested 34 people allegedly engaging in illegal mining of gold in some parts of Osun state.
Parading the suspects, the command’s public relations officer, Babawale Afolabi says they were arrested in Igun, Itagunmodi, iperindo and Epe in Atakunmosa west local government area of the state.
According to him, more arrests will be made, with a promise to prosecute them.
