The Academic Board of Islamic Movement of Nigeria has called on the United Nations to intervene in efforts towards securing the release of its leader Ibrahim El Zakzaky who was arrested in 2015.
Secretary General of the movement, Abdullahi Muhammed made the call while addressing newsmen in Abuja.
Muhammed explained that, their leader requires medical attention after sustaining various degrees of injuries during the invasion of his home by security operatives.
