While a few Nigerian acts squeezed in five minute performances at last night’s One Africa Music Fest in London, the same couldn’t be said for Nigerian-America artiste Jidenna. The show was shut down by venue authorities when the allotted time for the concert elapsed. Jidenna was backstage the whole time and was disappointed that he couldn’t perform.
‘I’m not here to point any fingers…but something went wrong tonight’, he said. ‘If we truly believe it’s time as Africans, then we have to be on time.’
