Political activities in Ekiti State are on the upbeat particularly within the fold of the All Progressives Congress as the 2018 Governorship Election in the state draws near.
Ward meetings attended by aspirants and besieged by members are now held more regularly and elaborately.
At one such meeting at Igede Ekiti, a chieftain of the party Deji Adetuberu gave cash gift to widows assembled from the five Local Government Areas that constitute Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
Adetuberu refuted insinuations that he’s nursing a political ambition but said the poverty in the land moved him to empower the widows.

APC State officials present at the meeting commended the philanthropic gesture.
