The Senate has invited the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee, over his comments on delayed screening and confirmation of Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs.
The lawmakers made this resolution at Wednesday’s plenary.
They had on Tuesday, protested against the retention of Ibrahim Magu as Acting Chairman of the EFCC despite their rejection of his nomination.
In response, Sagay had said President Buhari will not be cowed into replacing Magu.
And during an interview with TVC News, he maintained that the senate does not have the power to summon him.
