Aregbesola imposes curfew as 10 die in Ife communal clash

Image result for Osun govt imposes dusk-to-dawn curfew in Ile-IfeNo fewer than 10 person have been reportedly killed, while 30 others have been injured following a clash between some Hausa and Yoruba youths in Ile Ife, Osun State, on Wednesday.

The Osun State government declared a two-day dusk-to-dawn curfew in the town following the crisis  between the two communities in Sabo.


Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed in the fighting between the Hausa community and their Yoruba hosts in Ile Ife, Osun state.

Eye witnesses say the crisis started when a rift broke out between a Hausa man and a Yoruba woman.


Angry youths destroyed goods belonging to Hausa traders at Lagere, reportedly in retaliation to the destruction by the Hausa community around Sabo market.
