UGWU Uwadiegwu is close to a return to Enugu Rangers after he left for Enyimba some seasons ago as he has been sighted at the training sessions of the Flying Antelopes.
At Enyimba, he won the league and Federation Cup titles and also took part in the CAF Champions League.
Foster Chime revealed that Uwadiegwu is being courted by the Enugu side because of his experience in the African club competition and that discussions between the player and the club are at advanced stages.
“We are talking with Uwadiegwu, who is willing to return back to Rangers after leaving us some seasons ago. His experience will be crucial to our campaign in the CAF Champions League,” Chime told Goal.
“He has resumed training with us and the management is keen to add him to the playing staff. We do not want to take chances and we want to strengthen our various positions. We want to add Uwadiegwu because of his experience and to add to the selection headache. He will give extra back up in the right back.”
