Captain of the Super Eagles who is now also the captain of Tianjin TEDA, John Mikel Obi, has failed to lead his new team to victory as they continue their build up for the new season.
Tianjin suffered a fourth successive pre-season loss after a 3-0 defeat in the hands of Ukrainian side, Dynamo Kiev.
The Chinese Super League side had earlier lost to the second team of German club, Brussia Monchengladbach, St. Pauli and Romanian side, Dinamo Bucharesti.
The new Chinese League season begins in March.
