The Council’s chief executive officer, explained that a new sets of agreement has been drawn up with stipulated time lines that defines the rules of engagement.
He stated that it is important to accelerate the development of the dry ports because of the expected boost to trade and government’s diversification agenda.
He charged Concessionaires to show more commitment in the execution of the projects and noted that the aim of establishing inland container depots is to provide rapid economic growth through seaport de-congestion and reduction in the cost on transport modes.
