Table tennis players across the country will jostle for laurels at the maiden Nigeria Table Tennis Federation national championships scheduled to serve off next month in Lagos.

Players will compete in different categories including the Senior, junior, cadet, para and veteran competitions where at least 16 diadems will be at stake.

Head coach of the Nigeria national table tennis team Bello Nasiru says the tournament will complement efforts being made by the federation to unearth talents as well as engage Nigerian players in order to keep them active for major international table tennis tournaments.
