Embattled Judge of the Federal High Court Abuja, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, has withdrawn from presiding over the trial of the former National security adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki.
At a resumed sitting, the judge told the court that he could not go ahead with hearing of the criminal case in view of the recent clampdown on some judges in the country by the DSS.
While addressing the court, Justice Ademola said, he was sure the prosecution and defence counsel were conversant with what is going on in the last seven days in the country and he would be returning the case file back to the Chief Judge in the interest of fair hearing.
The Judge took out time and asked Dasuki, who was present in court, if he had collected any sum of money from him, of which he replied in the negative.
Justice Ademola was among the judges arrested and held in the custody of the DSS over allegation of corruption but they have been granted administrative bail.
