The Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum, has called on all stakeholders in the State not to engage themselves in any form of protest that would disrupt the relative peace being enjoyed in the State after suffering over a decade long insurgency.
He made the call during a dialogue meeting organized by him with all key stakeholders across the State.
Gathered here are stakeholders from security agencies, civil society
organizations, traditional and religious groups, business associations, youths and journalists.
They are here at the instance of the State governor Babagana Zulum.
His message is simple.
In order to preserve the relative calm that the State is currently
experiencing, he asks residents to abstain from all forms of protest.
Representatives of all clubs and associations here are all in agreement with the governor .
They promised not to engage in any activity that would interfere with the peace of the State.
The meeting resolved that a positive way of resolving issues is to
engage in constructive dialogue rather than taking to the streets.
