Zamfara state government has confirmed the death of seven teenage girls and several injured in the state.
This follows a bomb explosion in Magamin Diddi Village in Maradun local government area of the state.
The state Commissioner for Security affairs who spoke to TVC NEWS telephone says one of the injured died in the hospital while receiving treatment.
Abubakar Dauran notes that the bomb was a left over after a military exercise held in a bush near Magamin Diddi village weeks ago.
He notes that the dead have been buried according to Islamic rites, while the injured are receiving medical attention.
Police and military formations in the state say they have no knowledge of the incident
