Zamfara state Government says it will establish nine special schools across the three senatorial zones.
The focus will be on Science, Technical and Entrepreneurship
The government has also spent over N1.5B on renovation of Hostels, Libraries, classrooms and kitchen in two schools
Technical and entrepreneurship education in secondary school does more than only teach pupils how to start firms; it also helps them build an entrepreneurial mindset.
This mindset enables students to make informed decisions, take on difficulties, and perceive possibilities where others see roadblocks.
This is the desire of the current administration of Zamfara for its secondary school pupils.
The state commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, while inspecting ongoing remodeling work at the GSSS and ZACAS, said the goal is to support female child education and teach them skills they can rely on after school.
Wadatau Madawaki however noted that government has spent N1.5B on renovation of hostels, Libraries, Classrooms and upgrade of other facilities at the Government Science Secondary School Gusau and the Zamfara State Collage of Arts and Sciences
He added that two thousand qualified and highly skilled Teachers will be recruited for the proposed nine special schools
The move by the current administration in Zamfara to construct , renovate and upgrade schools is coming six months after the state Governor declared a state of emergency in the education sector.
