Zamfara governor inspects 128km rural road project

Image result for rural road projectThe Zamfara state Government has given Borino Proni Construction Company up to the end of September this year to complete the road project awarded to it or face revocation of the contract.

The governor stated this while inspecting the One hundred and Twenty Eight kilometer road project awarded by his administration in 2012.

He frowned at the slow face of the work.

TVC News Correspondent Ibrahim Bello reports that  towns of Magami to Dangulbi, Dankurmi, Bagega and Anka are major Agricultural areas of Zamfara state but they have lack assess roads for decades.

Governor Yari had at the beginning of his administration in 2011, set as priority, connecting towns and villages through link roads knowing fully the hardship faced by the rural dweller in getting his Agricultural produce to the market.

In 2012 Governor Abdulaziz Yari awarded a one hundred and twenty Eight kilometer road  contract to Borino Prono company at the cost of Fifteen billion naira,  to be completed in 38 months.

The current dwindling economy caused the project to stop, but in 2016, the contractor was mobilized to continue with the project.

The one hundred and twenty eight Magami, Dangubi, Dankurmi, Bagega and Anka road if completed is expected to improved socioeconomic activities in the state.
