Troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) have stepped up security operations nationwide, killing numerous terrorists, rescuing 67 kidnapped victims, and arresting 94 criminal suspects over a two-week period.
Maj.-Gen. Olatokunbo Bello, Director of Defence Media Operations, provided the update on Friday in Abuja, covering operations conducted between November 3 and 14, 2025.
He said troops recovered large caches of arms and ammunition, including automatic rifles, machine guns, RPG tubes, locally fabricated weapons, and materials for improvised explosive devices, while also dismantling criminal camps and logistics bases.
In the Northeast, Operation Hadin Kai troops maintained offensive actions in Borno and Adamawa States, killing several Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters, apprehending 45 informants and collaborators, and rescuing one kidnapped victim.
In the Northwest, Operation Fansan Yamma forces killed multiple terrorists across Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, Katsina, Kebbi, and Kano States.
They arrested two suspects, rescued 13 kidnapped victims, and recovered weapons, vehicles, and livestock.

In the North Central region, Operation Enduring Peace troops responded to attacks in Plateau and Kaduna States, killing extremists, arresting 16 suspects, and rescuing five kidnapped victims.

A notorious criminal, Ibrahim Wakili, was also arrested in Kaduna State’s Sanga Local Government Area on November 9.
Operation Whirl Stroke forces further neutralised criminals in Kogi, Kwara, Benue, Nasarawa, and Taraba States, killing several, arresting 10 suspects, and rescuing 48 kidnapped victims.
Additionally, two gunrunners and two extremist collaborators were apprehended in Nasarawa State.
In the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe foiled oil theft valued at over N15.8 million, destroyed multiple illegal refining sites, and arrested nine suspected oil thieves in Bayelsa and Delta States.
In the Southeast, Operation Udo Ka troops continued pressure on criminal elements, killing one terrorist and arresting seven others in Imo, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River States.
Maj.-Gen. Bello commended the troops for their dedication and resilience, urging the media to support national security efforts by reporting accurate and verified information.
