The Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu has issued a stern warning to terrorists and violent criminals, declaring that “they will find no sanctuary anywhere within Nigeria’s territory.” The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) assured that the Nigerian Army will intensify high-impact operations to decisively defeat non-state actors across the country.

Lt.-Gen. Shaibu delivered the warning on Tuesday during his maiden operational visit to the 4 Special Forces Command and the Nigerian Army Special Forces School, emphasizing the strategic role of precision-driven, intelligence-led operations in maintaining battlefield dominance.

In a statement by the Army’s spokesperson, Colonel Apollonia Anele, the COAS highlighted that the Special Forces remain at the forefront of campaigns to dismantle and neutralise criminal networks threatening national security.

He urged troops to “intensify and sustain high-impact operations aimed at decisively defeating terrorists and insurgents nationwide.”
