Summit to unlock Youth Potentials in Investment Holds in Lagos

Grand Africa Initiative has held the third edition of her annual youth summit tagged “The Africa We Want: Nexus Between the Youth, Peace and Entrepreneurship II.”

The pan-African summit was held virtually and attracted more than 3000 participants from 62 countries across the world.
While delivering her opening speech, the Executive Director of GAIN, Chinwe Okoli, emphasized that the GAIN Youth Summit has over the past three years deepened the discourse and contributed to shaping policies to unleash the economic potentials of young Africans.
And in his Keynote Address, the President and Chairman, Board of Directors, African Export-Import Bank, Professor Benedict Oramah congratulated GAIN on the excellent work it is doing, especially with regards to entrepreneurship development and youth employment in Africa.
Speakers at the summit included the; Ambassador of Cote D’ivoire to Nigeria Mr Kalilou TRAORE; Dr Tony Elumelu, Ag. Director of Private Sector Development at the ECOWAS Commission, Nigeria High Commissioner of Namibia to Nigeria, Humphrey Geiseb; Founder and Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Dr Tony Elumelu; Executive Director of YIAGA Africa, Sam Itodo and other esteemed guests.

Now, the Role of Youth Entrepreneurs cannot be overstressed in Unlocking the Economic potential of Africa. This is why Grand Africa Initiative in collaboration with Africa Export-Import Bank also organized a Masterclass on Entrepreneurship and Intra-Africa Trade.
The program is part of the Africa Export-Import Bank’s effort to increase participation of African young entrepreneurs in cross border trade and expand trading activity under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
The GAIN-AFREXIMBANK Masterclass was designed to equip 200 young African entrepreneurs who were selected from across Africa with skills to build and scale their businesses across borders; learn key insights that will help them identify opportunities in various African Markets.
Participants in the Masterclass learned from facilitators from Africa, America, and Europe who covered fifteen broad topics. It was followed by mentorship and business advisory sessions with experienced mentors and experts in various business sectors.
