President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, at the venue of his engagement with stakeholders over the recent security breach in the State.

The Chairman of the Plateau State Council of Traditional Chiefs, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, in his speech welcomed the President to Plateau State.

He noted that although the meeting is brief, it is significant.

He appealed to the President to urgently intervene in the security challenges bedeviling communities across Plateau State.

For his part, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for coming, describing him as a promise keeper and noting that Plateau is honoured to receive him.

He said the President’s visit, following the unfortunate killings in Jos North, is a strong show of leadership, adding that under his guidance, the State is beginning to enjoy relative peace.

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang described Sunday’s  incident as a temporary setback, expressing confidence that Plateau State will bounce back, as ongoing security measures continue to improve the situation.
