As many as 60 gold labelled foreign runners from 11 countries will participate in this year’s Okpekpe 10 kilometre road race in Edo State.
The director of the race Zakari Amodu says the move to have Gold-labelled runners is part of the strategy to get the road race registered as a Gold label event.
Amodu reveals that accreditation of the athletes and other participants would commence 2 days before the race on the 13th of May.
Athletes from Kenya, Morocco, Eritrea and Ethiopia will compete.
