Resident doctors want sacked colleagues reinstated

The Association of Resident Doctors has decried what it terms government’s insincerity in solving perennial challenges in the health sector.

After a mild protest at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, in Ile Ife, the association disclosed that Nigeria lacked the facilities, motivation and the political will to develop the sector.

The president of the hospital’s Association of Resident Doctors, Taofeek Akinniyi wants the federal government to
fully implement the 2014 national health act, which he says addresses most challenges in the health sector.
