The House of Representatives has charged security agencies to partner with government owned technology service providers and develop home grown solution in the fight against insecurity.

It also wants the Federal Ministry of Health to investigate and curtail the spread of an unidentified disease in parts of Gombe state.

Days after nurses across the country protested government’s revised guidelines for verification of their certificates, the House of Representatives has waded in.

A motion of urgent public importance from Akwa Ibom lawmaker, Patrick Umoh, seeks the suspension of the Revised Guidelines.

A strange disease has hit Nafada local government area of Gombe state and the legislators want immediate government’s attention at unmasking and putting an end to it.

Insecurity is still topical in Nigeria and parliamentarians are proffering solutions, one of which is the adoption of technology with local organisations.

In another legislative effort, support comes the way of a bill seeking amendment to the Constitution to provide a timeframe for the appointment of Justices of Nigeria’s apex court.

The parliament wants a probe into the compliance level of government agencies to the Discrimination Against Persons with Disability (Prohibition) Act.

The Sponsor, Lanre Okunola, says the five-year moratorium has elapsed, and there is need to ensure compliance by government agencies.
