The Police Service Commission (PSC) has received a delegation from the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria, the research and training arm of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), during a courtesy visit to its corporate headquarters in Abuja.

Leading the delegation, the Provost of the Academy, Professor Sheriff Ghali Ibrahim, said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration with the PSC in building public trust, promoting accountability, and reinforcing integrity within the public service.

He described the Chairman of the Commission, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Salihu Argungu, as a beacon in the fight against corruption whose contributions continue to support the ICPC’s mandate.

The Academy also presented its 2026 training programmes to the Commission and sought mutual support in advancing attitudinal change and capacity building across institutions.

In his response, PSC Chairman Argungu welcomed the proposed partnership and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to exposing its staff to ethical standards and the dangers of corrupt practices.

Drawing from his experience as a former Director of Investigation at the ICPC, he noted that the successful prosecution of corruption cases depends largely on the diligence of investigators and stressed the need for continuous training and retraining in investigative ethics.

Member of the PSC Board, retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Paul Adamu Galumje, also commended the delegation for the initiative and assured them of the Commission’s sustained commitment to the partnership.
