Residents of Olufoam area of Akure, the Ondo state capital have staged a peaceful protest against the poor handling of the road contract in the area.
Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the protesters accused the contractor handling the job of shortchanging them by only executing 162 meters out of 7.3 kilometres initially planned.

They chanted solidarity songs, stressing that the identity is shrouded in secrecy.
They called on the federal government to urgently investigate the road contract and expose those who allegedly shortchanged them.
