The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi has assured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to see to the realisation of the Cross River-South East-North Central-Abuja Super Highway.
The Minister gave the assurance at a Stakeholders Engagement with Governors and Leaders of the Affected States from North Central in Lafia the capital of Nasarawa State.
The Cross River-South East-North Central-Abuja Super Highway is a replica of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway.
The road will occupy a total of 477Km among which the affected states in the North Central will take 284KM.
On the road, Nasarawa State has 95KM,Kogi State has 111KM, Benue has 66KM while Abuja will take 12KM.
This stakeholders engagement with governors and leaders of the affected states in the North Central geo political zone is at the instance of the Minister of Works.
The aim is to get their inputs and garner support towards the realisation of the project.
Governors of the affected states assure of their unflinching support towards achieving the project.
Leaders of the Local Government believe that the project is a step in the right direction and it will enhance the economic growth of the country.
