Men of the Lagos State Police command have rescued a corps member, Faith Onyiwara, who was kidnapped aroundIlamija, in the Epe area of Lagos State
A statement by the commands PPRO said that the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu coordinated the rescue Operation of Onyiwara Chinwe Faith and no ransom was paid.
Chinwe was rescued at about 2.20am today in a swamp forest around Ilamija Nla in Epe after a gun battle.
According to reports, the youth corper was abducted on her way to attend her CDS meeting.
The abductors had demanded a ransom of fifty million naira but later reduced it to four hundred thousand naira.
The victim has been taken to hospital for medical attention due to the shock and trauma she experienced but authorities say she is in stable condition.
