The Nigeria Police Force in a daring operation on Tuesday night engaged in a fierce gun battle with bandits in Yan Shantuna, Dutsin-Ma LGA, Katsina State.
The operation resulted in the neutralisation of one bandit and the successful rescue of three kidnapped individuals, as well as cattle rustled in in Yan Shantuna.
The rescued individuals were found in a remote location in the area, where they had been held captive by the bandits.

The police were able to swiftly and decisively overcome the bandits, ensuring the safety and freedom of victims.
Bandits have made life unbearable for residents in some parts of Katsina State including the abduction of Dozens of Students from Kankara Senior Secondary, a boarding School in December 2020.
