Police deployed teargas to disperse a crowd of protesters gathered at the Government House gate, as demonstrators attempted to force their way into the State House.
The situation escalated rapidly, with protesters pushing forward despite the police’s efforts to hold them back.
Protesters have also set ablaze vehicles in Hadejia in Jigawa State.
