Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects linked to the killing of a 25-year-old man during a birthday party in the Digil Ward, Mubi North Local Government Area of the state.

According to a Sunday statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the victim, identified as Friday Isah, was allegedly stabbed during an altercation at the party.

The police spokesman said officers were alerted to the incident and responded promptly to the scene, where the victim was found with severe injuries.

The victim was subsequently taken to a medical facility for treatment, but was later confirmed dead by a doctor.

Police said two suspects, including a 19-year-old Samson Elisha and 14-year-old Ayuba Stephen, both residents of Digil Ward in Mubi North, have been arrested in connection with the attack.

The State Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, condemned the killing and directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case to ensure a thorough investigation and prosecution.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing.

The police also urged residents to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring justice.
