All is set to receive President Bola Tinubu in Jos as he visits to commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State over the Sunday evening attack that claimed lives and left many others injured.

The President is expected to engage with leaders of various communities in the state as part of efforts to find a lasting solution to the crisis.

Our correspondent reports that there is a heavy security presence at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, where the event will take place.

TVC News Online had earlier reported that Tinubu postponed his Ogun state visit to visit Jos, the Plateau state capital, following recent deadly attacks.

This was confirmed in a statement on Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

He wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today postponed his scheduled trip to Iperu, Ogun State, tomorrow to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport.

“Instead, he will head to Jos, capital of Plateau state, to commiserate with the government and people of the state over the recent gun attacks, which claimed the lives of innocent citizens. From Plateau, the President will travel to Lagos to observe Good Friday.”
