As part of efforts aimed at strengthening community policing across states of the federation and in pursuance of the directive of the Inspector General of Police, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Illyasu has inaugurated the newly constituted Executive members of Ogbere Area command.
Speaking after their inauguration, CP Ahmed Illyasu says the steps taken towards the actualization of the new area command is to ensure that members of the public have trust and confidence in the police.
The Police boss noted that the command will work towards achieving peace and security in the state, making reference to the support its enjoying from the Police Community Relations Committee.
On his part, PCRC Chairman in the state, Ibrahim Olaniyan thanked the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris for the creation of the new area command, promising to continue to collaborate with police in achieving desirable peace in the society.
