Nasarawa United defeated Akwa United 1-nil in a week 11 match of the Nigeria Professional Football League played on Thursday night.
Adamu Hassan scored the only goal of the game played at the Lafia Township Stadium.
Akwa United’s best chance for an equaliser came in the 59th minute but Ifeanyi Ifeanyi’s attempt went over the bar.
The victory moves Nasarawa United up to 12th on the league table.
