Nigerians urged to re-invent new Leaders for Excellence

NIGERIANS URGED TO DEVISE NEW LEADERSHIP STYLE FOR DEVELOPMENT

Nigerians have been tasked to identify and reinvent a new culture of leaders driven by values of integrity and the pursuit of excellence .

This was disclosed at an investiture ceremony for professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro, and second conferment of Nigeria Prize for leadership fellowship in Abuja .

Nigeria’s leadership challenges have become a major setback to its development.

Getting the right leader in most sectors has proved to be its biggest problem.

Citizens have lost belief in their leaders who have failed to look to the future and invest in it.

They want to see leaders who have the competence and capacity to genuinely tackle the innermost problems affecting the Nation from cohesion to unity.

It is why the Nigerian Prize for leadership is involved in the search for visionary leaders

It has identified and decided to confer its fellowship on a Nigerian it feels, has shown outstanding , credible , exemplary and sustainable success with clearly identifiable value addition to Nigeria’s moral social and economic development .

They conferred fellowship on professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro for upholding core values of execrations leadership .

These core values represent the leadership paradigm of NPL.

professor Bogoro disclosed that; leadership is not a personal privilege but a service to humanity .

But beyond this ceremony, leaders of the Nigerian prize for leadership all agree that ; there is an urgent need for the nation to raise leaders with capacity that will give effective leadership .

Professor Bogoro was the winner of the maiden edition of the Prize in 2021 , but he was not available so it was deferred to 2022.

Leaders are encouraged to use their positions as tools to serve the people and build faith and hope for the nation.

The award being conferred on Professor Bogoro was for the 2021 Edition of the award while the 2022 award was conferred on the TETFUND.
