Karu Local Government in Nasarawa State has implemented a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the area.
Karu shares a border with the Federal Capital Territory and saw some pockets of unrest in the early hours of today.
The declaration was contained in a statement made accessible by the council’s chairman, James Thomas.
The statement places restrictions on individuals, motorcycles and tricycles from operating between 6pm to 6 am until further notice.
