The Nigerian Air Force has destroyed four terrorists’ gun trucks and several logistics assets during a precision air interdiction operation in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno State.

The operation was conducted by the Air Component of the Operation Hadin Kai under the Joint Task Force North East, targeting hostile elements operating within the Sambisa general area.

In a statement, the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Ehimen Ejodame, said the successful strike significantly disrupted the operational mobility of the terrorists.

Ejodame noted that the air interdiction operation destroyed four gun trucks used by the insurgents and neutralised several of their logistics assets in the targeted location.

He added that the operation forms part of ongoing military efforts to degrade the capabilities of terrorist groups and restore security across the North-East region.

The Nigerian Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining coordinated air operations in support of ground troops to dismantle terrorist networks and deny them freedom of movement in the theatre of operations.
