Minister of Health inaugurates NAUTH permanent site in Nnewi

Nigeria’s Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Mohammed Ali Pate has reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu to transform the nation’s health sector

Dr. Pate spoke at the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of projects at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, Anambra state.

Providing equitable access to health care for every Nigerian is central in the country’s National Health Act.

According to a Lancet report, Nigeria is placed at 142 out of 195 countries using healthcare access and quality as its criteria

The report states that Primary healthcare witnessed a set-back due to weak governance, lack of accountability, poor remuneration for health workers amongst others.

A concern the present administration expresses determination to mitigate

At the inauguration of the permanent site, the minister emphasizes that the project is aimed at improving quality healthcare delivery for all Nigerians.

Chief Medical Director highlighted the objective of the infrastructure that was achieved through public Private participation,

The minister also carried out a groundbreaking ceremony of the Radio Diagnostics facility center in the hospital.
