Winners of the election were surrounded by friends and loved ones who witnessed their swearing in as council chairmen.

Governor Fintiri used the opportunity to read the riot act to them.

The governor is thankful to the State Independent Electoral Commission, for conducting the election that was widely acknowledged as one of the best and credible in the history of the state

The elected chairmen, who were elected with female deputies, committed to contribute to the Fintiri-led administration’s change plan.

Residents of Adamawa state believe that this new move at the local government level will further deepen the dividends of democracy.
