Former Local Government Chairmen in River State are calling for the disbandment of caretaker committees set up to run the councils.
They are mounting pressure on Governor Siminalayi Fubara to dissolve the committees in compliance with the Supreme Court judgment which granted autonomy to Local Government Areas.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, the Chairman also raised alarm over increase in violence across the state and alleged political witch hunt since leaving office.
